If an individual has problems believing in the supernatural of God and thus rejects what the Bible has to say in the subject then that individual will more than likely at some point not believe in miracles and many times wind up not even believing that Jesus is the only way to heaven; and the list could go on. This is not about just willful ignorance but a matter of WILLFUL UNBELIEF! Let me take this a step further. Willful ignorance usually stems from a heart of rebellion, which as the prophet Samuel put it, “as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness as the sin of iniquity and idolatry.” ALL of this is rooted in the spirit of Jezebel who again, seeks to stamp out the TRUE power of the HOLY GHOST and destroy the true servants of God while promoting her false prophets and servants to control and dominate the scene. We are living in such a time in the modern church world today when spiritual pimps manipulate the masses for the almighty dollar and the applause of a wicked world system instead of preaching the gospel and proclaiming the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

TEXT: 1 Kings 19:1-8  And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. [2] Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. [3] And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.  [4] But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. [5] And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. [6] And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. [7] And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. [8] And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
 

As we spoke of in our last journal there was no greater move of God in Israel’s history than what took place on Mount Carmel under the anointing and ministry of the prophet Elijah. It was here where Elijah courageously spoke out against the religious idolatry of his day and called down fire from heaven and proved to the people of Israel that the pagan gods called Baals were nothing but helpless idols.

When reading this passage in 1 Kings one is hard pressed to grasp the total reason how Elijah the prophet could raise to such spiritual heights on Carmel only to find himself fall to such a spiritual low by hiding in a cave at Mount Horeb in a state of confusion and exhaustion, running for his life from a wicked queen and asking God to kill him. In this atmosphere of hyper faith in the modern church, most Bible preachers and teachers talk very little of Elijah's cave experience which this writer don’t mind calling a “crisis” and without a doubt not the highest point in Elijah’s ministry, yet it was a necessary step in Elijah‘s ultimate ride in a chariot of fire! Friend, Mount Carmel is great and we all want to bask in those moments but it is in the cave experiences of our lives where we truly come to know God!

Before I get to the cave situation, let me first regress a bit and again set the stage and define who Jezebel is and how her spirit still lives today attacking Christians, homes, churches and even entire nations and how it was this spirit that caused Elijah to wind up in the cave we speak of. We can beat our chest and say “well I wouldn‘t have run from Jezebel and I would have never allowed such depression and despair to hit my life,” but neighbor let me remind you the forces of darkness are not prejudice about who they attack and influence and the truth be told NONE of us reading or writing this journal would have reacted any differently than this mighty prophet.

The book of James says that Elijah was a man of “like passions,” as well meaning he was just as every single one of you reading this journal. He was a man, anointed by God, called to a nation steeped in apostasy and rebellion to show the true power of the LIVING God, which he did faithfully as the Lord commanded.

James 5:17 - Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. [18] And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

We learned in our last journal that Jezebel, who was the major source of Israel’s regression into idolatry, was withstood by Elijah who killed 450 of her false prophets single handedly and would later expose her sin in the murder of Naboth when she greedily coveted his vineyard and had him killed to get it. Jezebel is both a historical person in Israel’s history AND a modern day yet ancient demonic spirit that seeks to destroy you and your family by bringing sensuous pleasures of the flesh and filling one’s mind up with the stench of sin and the slime of idolatry. She lulls a willing people into a spirit of slumber and in doing so cuts off and resists their source of true power - the Holy Spirit.

I haven’t made any folks mad lately so I might as well make up for that with what I’m about to say next and neighbor you need to listen to this writer profusely for what I say may very well be taking place over your city as well as it is mine at this very moment. The spirit of Jezebel is hard at work resisting the supernatural and prophetic gifts of the Holy Ghost in a myriad of cities across America and the world for that matter at this very moment. This spirit is working not through the drunks, whoremongers or the drug addicts, but through the religious hierarchy in most cities and many mainline denominations who have succumbed to this entity and have committed themselves to totally stopping the work of the Holy Ghost in their domains.

No one dare preach right now on the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues because it seems there is a resistance and fear that a preacher does so he will lose friends and relationships and even be asked to leave if the anger gets hot enough. Jezebel does NOT want the HOLY GHOST to be the source of man’s deliverance simply because Jezebel’s spirit is rooted in a CONTROL spirit and in reality a spirit of witchcraft. Witchcraft is a work of the FLESH, as stated in Galatians 5:19-20, and as spoken by Samuel the prophet “as the sin of rebellion and stubbornness the sin of idolatry.”

The spirit of Jezebel works hand in hand with the Spirit of Anti-Christ, which is “anti” “CHRIST,” or anti-anointing! Jesus, NOT man, not the Pope, not the head of the Southern Baptist Convention, not the head of the Assemblies of God, not the head of the Charismatic movement, said before He went back to heaven after the Crucifixion, “you SHALL receive POWER after that the HOLY GHOST has come upon you.” He was not talking to sinners going to Jerusalem to get saved, but to believers, many of whom were His original disciples and followers, who would obey His voice and tarry in Jerusalem until “they be endued with power from on high”

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

GOD is love, and the Holy Spirit is ceaselessly striving to make this love known in our hearts, work out God's purposes of love in our lives, and transform our character by love. And so we are solemnly warned against resisting the Spirit, and almost tearfully and always tenderly exhorted to ' quench not the Spirit,‘ and to ' grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.’

In addition there is one great sin against which Jesus warned the Jews, as a sin never to be forgiven in this world nor in that which is to come. That was blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. Some deny there is a way today to commit such a sin but I find that incredibly stupid at worse and naïve at best to twist the words of Jesus Himself in Matthew 12:31-32 and say men cannot commit that sin today. Let this writer be clear.

The spirit of Jezebel is causing scores of preachers and others to commit this very sin behind pulpits and as heads of various ministries, many of which hide their true control motives behind the guise of benevolence when in fact these ministries are nothing more than control organisms to keep people in bondage instead of pointing them to the true source of salvation, freedom, deliverance and healing. Friend, there is something wrong when ministries are more worried about finding the drug addict a rehab center than knowing how to get that drug addict free through the power of the Holy Ghost! There is something WRONG when our churches have replaced the altar with the counseling center. There is something wrong when preachers are required to have psychology classes to get their education instead of preachers being told they need to be FILLED with the SPIRIT of God to be qualified to preach to begin with! Oh, Neighbor are you hearing what I say?

Let this writer remind the reader again that this sin was not committed in Jesus day by the prostitutes or the drunks or the dishonest tax collectors in Jerusalem; this sin was committed then as it is today by the religious leaders of Jesus’ day who through the hardness of their heart rejected outright the miracles of Jesus by attributing them to Satan. It is a growing feeling of this writer that the Pharisee’s were influenced by this very same spirit of Jezebel that wound up almost costing one of the greatest prophets in all history his very life in the caves of Horeb.

To their claim that Jesus did His miracles by the power of Satan, Jesus replied with gracious kindness and searching logic: ' How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.'

In this quiet reply we see that Jesus does not rail against them, nor flatly deny their base assertion that He does His miracles by the power of the devil, but shows how logically false must be their statement. And then, with grave authority and, I think, with solemn tenderness in His voice and in His eyes, He adds a warning that needs to be echoed to THIS generation of unbelieving preachers of the gospel who are doing the same thing: 'Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewithsoever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation'; or, as the Revised Version has it, 'is guilty of an eternal sin'; and then Mark adds, ' Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit' (Mark iii. 22-30).

It’s been nearly 18 months now since I was asked to leave a local ministry I was assisting simply because the leader of that ministry did not feel the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking of other tongues was something she wanted taught to those whom her ministry was helping. We had spent the past 12 months at this ministry before this incident took place teaching every Monday on the Cross of Christ. Our text was Romans 6, 7 and 8, nothing more, nothing less. The BIBLE was our textbook as we were taking those attending through a verse by verse discussion of spiritual victory through faith in the Cross of Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost.

We had come to the point in the teaching of the Cross that was really the nuts and bolts of the teaching - the POWER through which the reality of the Cross works - the HOLY SPIRIT. We were not and never would be anyway teaching people they had to speak in tongues to be saved nor did they need to speak in tongues to have victory. Tongues however are a VITAL part of the intercessory work of the Spirit in the believer and the intercession and strength tongues brings IS however a component to one walking in power. Prayer and fasting and intercession are also extremely vital keys to a personal walk with the Lord. Yes, our victory comes from the Cross, but for one to know God, one must learn to PRAY and seek His face every day for guidance, power and direction! The power is not the tongues; the HOLY SPIRIT is the power which I will get to more in a moment; as such the Holy Spirit’s true power is the power which the spirit of Jezebel opposes and seeks to stamp out at all costs. When we pray in tongues and intercede as the Bible tells us in Romans 8:28-29, we are literally shaking the gates of hell with our intercession. That is why Satan hates this experience and he fights as hard as he can through this demonic spirit named Jezebel to resist ANY TEACHING that points people to the power of God which is their only true source of help.

Right after I was given the left foot of fellowship and the exit strategy where I speak, Purpose Driven Life classes were put in the place of classes that we were teaching on the Cross and the power of the Holy Ghost. The comment that disturbed me the most in this malay that still stings this writer to this day was when this ministry leader proclaimed the day the entire issue came to a boil sadly in front of many new converts and seeking hearts, “well the only people I know who speak in tongues are drug pushers, pimps and crack addicts” basically aligning those who are baptized in the Holy Ghost with individuals clearly bound by the powers of darkness and if they were even speaking in tongues to being with were not even saved and chances are they were not actually baptized in the Spirit but having some sort of emotional or worse “experience“ in the flesh. The Holy Spirit does NOT align Himself with such darkness and this individual should have known better UNLESS she was willfully seeking to align the experience of tongues with individuals clearly and grossly influenced by Satan. I‘ll leave that between this individual and the Lord 18 months later as I have from the beginning.

I will say this. Only eternity will judge how close a breakthrough was at hand in the lives of those coming to those Monday morning classes. Some days we had two or three, other days we had ten or twelve. I know the outward attacks had gotten louder and more pronounced about a month before this incident happened so I know something was being stirred up in the spirit realm and Satan wanted us out of there. On at least three separate occasions, including a Christmas Eve service where we had about 35 homeless individuals we helped feed that Sunday afternoon, where individuals stood up and outwardly cursed us and threatened us because of what we were teaching. I’m also sure the leadership feels they did “God’s” service in asking us to leave and removing someone they felt a threat to their control over these people’s lives. I was not there to have any say in what went on with the ministry; I was just there to teach a simple class on the Cross and the devil got into the situation and it all stopped.

In essence however and this is something that cannot be overlooked in the leader’s comments, nor overlooked in preachers of the gospel who basically say the same thing many times behind pulpits and that is this: what they say in aligning the work of the Spirit with demon powers is the same thing and attitude the Pharisee’s alluded to and did in their denunciation of Christ when they uttered their blasphemy, “He hath an unclean spirit.”

Let this writer make it clear to one and all that I don’t care how many degrees your pastor or your spiritual “hero” or “guru” or “idol” has, but if he or she is one of those telling you that tongues are of the devil or they are not relevant for today or a myriad of other statements they are uttering things that are putting them on serious and dangerous spiritual grounds and you’d be wise not to get into that arena with them! You need to read the Word of God for yourself and let the HOLY GHOST show you His purposes and power in the life of the believer! His purposes are NOT to align Himself with Satan and NOTHING recorded in Scripture, as the baptism of the Holy Ghost IS, has linkage to the powers of darkness.

If the baptism in the Spirit was not a threat to Satan he would not be busy seeking to stop is through the spirit of antichrist and the spirit of Jezebel! Resistance to the prophetic and anointing are earmark traits of a Jezebel spirit!!!!!!

The spirit of Jezebel will always seek to stamp this experience out because ANY true move and influence of the Holy Ghost is a serious threat to her kingdom and domain!!! If you will notice, her anger over Elijah did not boil over until AFTER the fire fell! Oh, she was mad about the drought and the fact Elijah had stayed the rain through His words for 3 ½ years. But she didn’t threaten to kill him until AFTER the CARMEL experience when the literal fire from heaven fell and showed ALL in Israel who was the TRUE God Jehovah and who were the false gods Baal! The same pattern and attitude exists today.

We have grown greatly adept in the church at calling and labeling that which God esteems as good “evil” and that which God abhors and calls evil as “good.” We throw people out of our churches and ministries who merely want to point people to an encounter with Jesus through the power of the Holy Ghost - the ONLY REAL SOURCE OF DELIVERANCE FOR MANKIND - while we then in exchange embrace the false god of humanistic psychology and every demonically inspired man-made scheme under heaven thinking we are helping those we minister to. THAT IS THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL NEIGHBOR and it will damn men’s souls to an eternal hell! Jezebel don’t mind you and I worshipping or partaking of religious activity as long as WHAT we are worshipping are her false gods of Baal and Ashtoreth! Jezebel was a very religious as well as a political figure in the life of all Israel. Most who carry a Jezebel spirit usually are spiritual and political leaders in the venues of cities and even nations! Don’t forget that.

Jesus has an opinion of Jezebel as we clearly see when He didn’t mince words to the religious of Israel when He stated soberly: …he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: [30] Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Jesus further expressed His sore displeasure with Jezebel and has promised to send those who commit spiritual adultery with her into a bed of coming Great Tribulation!

Jezebel’s spirit will cause you friend to commit fornication with this world’s man-made schemes to get to God and find deliverance! You may worship at any altar you like under Jezebel’s plan but under HER control and under HER spell and seduction. She is called a “prophetess,“ meaning she always has a VOICE and a platform in most cases where she is allowed to do her most damning work in the souls of men.

Jesus came into the world to reveal God's truth and love to men, and to save men‘s souls from Hell. Yet men cannot come to Christ however EXCEPT they be DRAWN to Him through the agency and work of the Holy Ghost. There is no other drawing power except that of the Spirit of God!!!!! NONE, ZILCH; ZERO NO EXCEPTIONS. The Holy Ghost is not some mechanism we in the church can manipulate or intimidate or dictate as to what and how we desire Him to work. We can‘t say “ we believe in the Holy Ghost,” then in the same breath say “but we don‘t believe in tongues and prophecy and miracles.” Really? Just how then do you reconcile that 6 out of the 9 gifts of the Spirit as recorded in 1 Corinthians 12-14 are DIRECTLY tied to either speaking in tongues, PROPHECY and MIRACLES!?????

You can‘t say “we believe in the Holy Spirit,” then deny what He does or align what He does as that of Satan and be on safe ground eternally or otherwise. If you want to stay in such ignorance, then stay in such ignorance but you are doing it at your eternal peril and the eternal peril of those underneath your ministry and care if you‘re in leadership. MEN ARE SAVED WHEN THEY ARE DRAWN TO CHRIST BY THE HOLY GHOST AND IN CHOOSING HIM BELIEVE WHAT HE ACCOMPLISHED FOR US ALL AT THE CROSS! Let God be true and the church of Oprah be found to be liars! There are NOT two, three, four, five, seven, ten or whatever other number ways to God. There is only ONE way and that is through the Cross. The way of the CROSS leads home! The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Shed blood alone through the work of the Holy Ghost is the ONLY answer to man’s ills and demons and Jezebel and all hell know that! Her tool however of deception is one of her greatest she welds in those who she possesses and through individuals control and dominate others!

The Scribes and Pharisees witnessed these miracles, and were compelled to admit these signs and wonders. Nicodemus, one of their number, said to Jesus, 'Rabbi, we know that Thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that Thou doest, except God be with him'. Would they now admit His claim to be the Son of God, their promised and long-looked-for Messiah? The gospel He preached was Spirit and life; it appealed to their conscience and revealed their sin, and to acknowledge Him was to admit that they themselves were wrong and friend most people with a religious spirit that borders on a Jezebel spirit would rather split hell wide open than admit they are wrong. Admitting Christ’s power came from God would mean submission to His authority, the surrender of their wills, and a change of front in their whole inner and outer life. Many people claim they do this but in reality their hearts are far from the Lord and they don’t possess His nature nor His character. Some are more than willing to operate in signs and wonders to accomplish their deception over others but the LORD KNOWS THEY WHO ARE HIS and commands ALL who are His to depart from iniquity!

Scores of ministry leaders in this nation and even in the town we live claim they do these things with their mouth but their actions speak of people who are rebellious, stubborn and control freaks to the point they border on being possessed by a spirit of witchcraft they seek to release on those around them. This is the SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL and friend it is the SAME spirit that put Elijah in a cave just days after he called fire down from heaven and set Israel on a course that would not be changed for many years to come after Carmel.

Let the reader be clear once more for the 100^th time as not to leave any room for misunderstanding or twisting of what we are saying as many have tried in the recent past. We are not glorifying tongues by what we say nor trying to make speaking in tongues an “all in all” experience; there are no experiences out there that can zap the believer into Christian perfection and cause Satan to cease from his activity. I wished (as well as you too) that it was that simple friend. This battle is real and it’s for eternal souls. It’s for MY soul; your soul; my sons’ souls; my daughters’ souls; it’s for ALL who are living at this very moment. There are a number of ministries of the Holy Ghost as well as FRUIT the Spirit produces. ALL work hand in hand to make the believer more like CHRIST and grant victory over sin, the flesh and the devil.

But friend let’s just be honest with each other. If one does not believe in or reject the workk of the Holy Spirit as He relates to prophecy, miracles and speaking in tongues what makes you think this unbelief will stop at just these expressions of His work and power? What makes it so hard for the church to accept speaking in tongues as a vital part of the ministry of the Spirit to the believer? (THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION IS THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL!!) What makes you think that if an individual proclaims God doesn’t perform miracles any more or that God doesn’t speak through prophets today or God doesn’t still heal the sick today or a myriad of other foolish ideas that parade themselves behind pulpits or over television that that same individual will more than likely not stop believing in other pertinent doctrinal issues that pertain to eternal salvation and eternal life? If we can’t believe God moves in miracles or believe the Holy Ghost baptism and the power of speaking in tongues or that God heals today then how pray tell can we believe for entire cities to be saved or nations to be healed?

It kills me when we have city wide prayer meetings and the leaders of these meetings don’t even believe people are supposed to speak in tongues today or God performs miracles or heals today. Some of these same leaders embrace new age humanism behind their pulpits while denying the true power of the Holy Ghost and in some cases even deny the validity of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as being vital to salvation. I challenge the reader to check the doctrines of these type leaders. You’d be shocked at how many mainline denominational leaders have thrown the Bible out of their churches in lieu of the Purpose Driven Life or Oprah Winfrey’s notes on salvation.

Are we kidding ourselves with that type of unbelieving attitude to think God is going to just swoop down in Holy Ghost revival and move among us? Are we that naïve or unbelieving to think that our rank arrogance, cynicism and willful ignorance does not close the heavens above us?

We may brag about a false sense of unity but if that unity does not center itself around CHRIST and not a church group or groups then neighbor that unity is FALSE. Paul said we are to have the UNITY OF THE FAITH meaning our unity is built upon the Cross of Christ AND the power of the Holy Ghost! I don’t mean this to be mean but if the Southern Baptists want to head up our prayer gatherings that’s all fine and grand but it’s hypocrisy for them to say they want city unity when deep down inside they despise the Pentecostals among them who believe in tongues and other gifts of the Spirit and do all things to QUELCH the very power of God that wants to change their city! You can’t push the power of God into a corner and say “stay over there and don’t do this or cause that” but come when we beckon you to come and make us look good to the city we’re trying to deliver. Friend, that is total delusion to believe such yet thousands in church leadership circles across this nation and even in the city this writer lives in do just that. I know those are fighting words and some may take great offense at them, but SOMEONE needs to say it.

Does this writer want revival? ABSOLUTELY. Does this writer want UNITY among different denominations in our city? ABSOLUTELY I want that. But if that unity is defined by people who don’t believe in the power of God you can keep your unity neighbor. If the unity that is being pushed is actually a veiled effort by the spirit of Jezebel to stamp out the prophetic and true move of the Spirit of God then you can keep your unity. The problem is the seeker-sensitive sensation has so engulfed the church world we don’t even know what a true Holy Ghost revival and move looks like anymore and would not recognize it if it broke out today. It’s amazing when you bring in a preacher who don’t believe in the gifts of the Spirit that scores of mainline denominational churches will participate; bring in a man who moves in the miraculous and Spirit of God and these same churches hold meetings on how to boycott and resist every single service. That is the Spirit of Jezebel neighbor and those responsible are going to be held accountable to God for their actions!

We are living in such a time in the modern church world today when spiritual pimps manipulate the masses for the almighty dollar and the applause of a wicked world system instead of preaching the gospel and proclaiming the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As God rejected Saul for such an attitude and as He killed Jezebel for her ultimate actions against Elijah and Naboth, so too is there coming a reckoning day for the apostate church and all those who choose to allow Jezebel to influence and control them instead of being filled with the HOLY GHOST! The sad footnote to these issues are the millions of souls who because they have followed the apostate and whore systems instead of knowing the true and living God will lose their soul and follow these systems into hell itself.

At the root of this religious activity laced with this stubbornness, rebellion and idolatry is the idol of SELF, which has become the new god of the modern age church world system. This same god has made millions stubborn and rebellious to the true call of the Holy Ghost. Israel stumbled over Christ in this very manner when they began to question the authority in which He did the miracles He did. Their hardened heart accused Him of being of the devil as well as the power in which He ministered. Are we doing less today in the modern church? Are we not hearing preachers (so-called mind you) of the gospel who claim they are experts in religious matters but yet deny the supernatural work of God in the earth today as well as making it virtually impossible for people to receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost? The resistance to you speaking in tongues my Pentecostal friend is rooted in the spirit of Jezebel. It’s also rooted in the spirit of Antichrist which again is the spirit of “anti” anointing.

Going back to the Pharisees for a moment let me add this serious point. For them to submit their will to Christ and accept the fact His power came from God, this would have meant they would have had to admit they needed a moral and spiritual revolution in their hearts and lives and friend, the place below the earth would have froze over before their stubbornness allowed them to do so! And the same can be said of modern church leaders today. Thus, to avoid the appearance of rank hypocrisy and delusion, they had to discredit His miracles; and since they could not deny them, they declared that He wrought them by the power of the devil.

Jesus worked these signs and wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit, that He might cause those who witnessed such to believe in HIM and ultimately be saved!

But the obstinately religious refused to believe, and in their malignant obstinacy heaped scorn upon the Son of God, accusing Him of being in league with the devil; the question neighbor becomes simple then - how could they be saved? And the question is simple today - how can men be saved who reject outright the moving and operation of the Holy Ghost in a willful and arrogant manner?

This was the sin against the Holy Spirit against which Jesus warned them. It was not so much one act of sin, as a deep-seated, stubborn rebellion against God that led them to choose darkness rather than light, and so to blaspheme against the Spirit of truth and light. It was sin full and ripe and ready for the harvest and described the spirit of Jezebel to a proverbial “T.”

Just as Jezebel sought to cut off the power of the true prophets in the land of her day, she is seeking to cut off the true source of power in the land today! And to be frank, she is succeeding because the number of preachers and other spiritual leaders infested with this spirit grows daily. People can‘t even speak in tongues any more in most churches without being ushered out the door or worse. There are those who abuse these gifts without a doubt and let me assure the reader. This individual I came up against was infested with at the very least a control spirit, one that I’m slow to label a Jezebel spirit but it had the characteristics of one! She manipulated those under her ministry with fears, doubt and unbelief to keep them in sub service to her fearing herself that if those under her ministry became free from the sins they were bound by she would no longer have control over these people’s lives. I have discovered through this that if you throw a rock into a pack of wolves, the one that yelps is the one you hit and the day the entire matter came to a boil I was discussing this very subject I write to you about today - the blaspheming against the Holy Ghost. In her anger she picked a public fight and days later officially got my keys and asked me not to return.

My words about the Holy Ghost that day and for the previous 12 months for that matter were not my words, but the Lord’s words on the subject and it hit her right in the heart of her most cherished vulnerable spot - the fabric of lies, deceptions and wicked unbelief she wanted to teach those under her through pushing a Purpose Driven Life agenda instead of pushing the WORD OF GOD agenda! I look back on this event 18 months later and realize that this individual feared exposure and by resisting the truth, sometimes publicly and very rudely to me in front of others, she feared what was taking place in the lives of those truly grasping the message of the Cross, which is the ONLY TRUTH that can set men free!

I have hurt for 18 months deeply over the force and arrogance in which we were asked to leave this ministry. I cannot tell the reader the feelings of fear, disappointment and deep rooted shock all of this took place simply over a theological disagreement over the issue of the baptism in the Holy Ghost. I have been slow to deal with this publicly except through our website and I honestly have not done that too much over the past year simply crying out to God to deal with the wrongs done and for Him to be the Judge that He is over the situation. I feel without a doubt I was sent by God to be a help to that ministry that turned into a nest of vipers and in essence has not really repented whatsoever of its arrogance, rebellion and stubbornness but in fact boasts of things it has no room to boast about.

Just as the spirit of Jezebel ultimately was exposed by Elijah and she ultimately was destroyed by Jehu, so too will this spirit of Jezebel be exposed soon in this city! But in brushing up and being touched by this this spirit I feel found myself over the past 18 months disillusioned, disorientation, hurt, in deep despair, lonely and at times wanting to die - all things Elijah experienced in what I‘d like to refer to as the CAVE experience. Loneliness always comes as a result of an encounter with Jezebel many times because of the lies she spreads to others who alienate you and isolate you from their groups and meetings; you have to forgive them and move on but it hurts and is not a good place to be when you live in a city as we do where churches tend to be very sectarian to begin with and very little opportunities are given to ministers “outside the cliché” of the establishment.

I have wanted to leave this city so many times I cannot put the number down on paper yet God continues to keep us here and through this journal maybe share how our experiences

relate to Elijah and perhaps help others who have been touched by this same spirit. I guess that is why I have felt so compelled to write this journal today that I have not really started. I will pick up what happened to Elijah in more detail in part two of this sermon.

Let me ask you today. Have you been hurt and wounded in the house of the Lord by those you thought were spiritual leaders who in fact were nothing more than agents of Jezebel operating in her same deceptive and manipulative, dominating spirit? If so, there is hope and love found waiting at the foot of the Cross of the World’s redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ. He loves His children and knows the pain you have felt. He knows the wrongs that have been committed and He knows the source of the struggle that you feel deep inside without being able to put a finger on it or even name the conflict.

The conflict neighbor is the eternal struggle between the spirit of Jezebel and the Spirit of Elijah. You and I are in the middle and as Elijah said so long ago, IF GOD BE GOD, serve God; if Baal be god serve Baal; CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHICH GOD YOU WILL SERVE!!!! As far as me and my house, we plan to serve THE GOD JEHOVAH, YAHWEH; THE FIRST AND THE LAST; the Alpha and the Omega; the beginning and the end; the Rose of Sharon; the Lily of the Valley; the Bright and the Morning Star; the Lamb of God of all Creation; the one that call JESUS, the SON of the Living God. Praise God.
